Instructions

Prepare the Citrus Juices

  • Juice ½ lime and ½ lemon to obtain ½ ounce of fresh lime juice and ½ ounce of fresh lemon juice.
  • Tip: Microwave the citrus fruits for 15-20 seconds and roll them on the counter to maximize juice extraction.

Mix the Cocktail

  • In a cocktail shaker, combine 1 ounce of Midori Melon Liqueur, 1 ounce of vodka, ½ ounce of fresh lime juice, ½ ounce of fresh lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of erythritol or your preferred keto-friendly sweetener.
  • Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to chill the mixture and ensure everything is well combined.

Prepare the Garnishes

  • Cut ½ lime into wedges by halving it lengthwise and slicing it into small segments.
  • Make a small slit between the flesh and peel of two lime wedges so they can easily attach to the sides of the glass as “ears.”
  • Slice 1 cucumber into a thin round to use as a garnish.

Assemble the Cocktail

  • Fill a serving glass (rocks or cocktail glass) with fresh ice cubes.
  • Strain the cocktail mixture from the shaker into the prepared glass, pouring evenly over the ice.
  • Attach the two lime wedges to the rim of the glass to create Baby Yoda’s “ears.”
  • Place the cucumber slice on top of the ice as a decorative finishing touch.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Serve immediately and enjoy your Grogu-inspired cocktail while rewatching your favorite episodes of The Mandalorian or planning a Star Wars-themed party.

Notes

  • Choose the Right Sweetener: Erythritol or allulose works best for a keto-friendly sweetener. Adjust the sweetness to your preference, keeping in mind that Midori Melon Liqueur is naturally sweet.
  • Lime Ears Tip: For the best Baby Yoda “ears,” use fresh, firm limes. Make sure to cut the slits carefully to ensure they attach securely to the glass.
  • Cucumber Garnish: Use a small cucumber slice for a proportional look that complements the theme. Persian cucumbers work particularly well due to their size.
  • Customizable Variations: Add a splash of soda water for a sparkling version or substitute the vodka with gin for a different flavor profile.
  • Serving Suggestion: This cocktail pairs wonderfully with light appetizers or keto-friendly snacks, making it perfect for a Star Wars-themed party or casual night in.
  • Storage Tip: While the cocktail is best enjoyed fresh, you can prepare the citrus juices and sweetener mix ahead of time and store them in the fridge for up to 24 hours for faster assembly.
